Plumtree Software Inc. and Microsoft Corp. will join forces to offer a scalable portal that will provide organizations partners, employees and customers with personalized access to enterprise applications and Internet services.

The companies will integrate Plumtrees Corporate Portal 4.0 with Microsofts SharePoint Portal Server. They will sell the combined offering bundled with Microsofts SQL Server 2000 database. Plumtree, of San Francisco, will develop a new Portal Gadget to integrate with Microsofts Exchange 2000 Server messaging platform. Microsoft, of Redmond, Wash., and Plumtree will begin selling the bundle next month.
