Meanwhile, Comshare announced Version 5 of its Comshare MPC application for corporate performance management, with support for increasing financial reporting requirements.

Other new features include integrated report scheduling that allows end users to refresh and disseminate reports automatically at regular intervals and support for the development of custom tasks to enable organization-specific analytic and reporting requests.
Comshare MPC 5, meanwhile, is a specific analytics application for business performance management. Version 5 features improved detail budgeting and configurable data entry and reporting templates plus more readable reports, new charting capabilities and support for unique member IDs.
Other new features include currency translation, Microsoft Excel features like text notes, dynamic data entry, range properties and formulas, new editable templates, better financial intelligence, and hierarchical selection of dimension members and periods.
Comshare officials, in Ann Arbor, Mich., said the new version of the software would be particularly useful to companies seeking to cope with new Securities and Exchange Commission accounting regulations.
