Web-centric software integrator Vector ESP Inc. on Tuesday launched its new Enterprise Integration Portal Service.

The service allows customers to integrate their Web-based and legacy software applications through a single computing platform, according to Vector officials.

Vectors EIP simplifies the process of using a portal for back-end application integration through the integration of structured work processes, collaboration, personalization and knowledge.

The portal service is designed with the companys ADDS methodology in mind that focuses on four separate areas: assessment, design, deployment and support. Each of these areas applies strict execution management disciplines and houses specific functionalities.

The assessment module includes strategic planning, return on investment and business case analysis. The design element includes an information architecture and taxonomy, as well as governance models. The deploy element includes portal implementation and configuration, infrastructure deployment and testing and application development and integration. Finally, the support element includes pre- and post-implementation training and support, along with problem isolation and repair.

Houston-based Vector has partnered with the likes of Citrix Systems Inc, Microsoft Corp., Oracle Corp., and Plumtree Software Inc. to deliver what it calls an end-to-end solution. Vectors own QwikPortal offering is also part of the Enterprise Integration Portal service.
