ThoughtWorks, a leader in delivering enterprise agile software and services, has announced the launch of Agile Transitions, an online community focused on the exchange of ideas and best practices associated with executive- and business-level issues related to agile IT.

ThoughtWorks and ThoughtWorks Studios, the company’s agile application lifecycle management (ALM) products division, will jointly manage and contribute insights to the community site, along with a growing roster of senior technology executives from corporate, education and government sectors. ThoughtWorks’ Agile Transitions can be found at www.thoughtworks.com/agile-transitions.

“ThoughtWorks is at the forefront of the uncharted impact that agile has at the highest levels of the business,” said Ross Pettit, client principal for ThoughtWorks and lead for Agile Transitions.

Adam Monago, vice president of client services for ThoughtWorks Studios, said, “This online community provides an interactive forum for leaders and executives to exchange ideas and experiences. It also allows ThoughtWorks to share its experience addressing the business-related issues that are critical to building a sustainably agile organization at the global, enterprisewide level.”

Agile Transitions is an open forum that allows community members to discuss a range of executive-focused topics, including IT governance, organization, budgeting and financing, risk management, HR issues, and enterprise adoption and integration. Within the site, agile executives can converse back and forth, share tips and answer each other’s questions. Broader Q&A features let members pose questions to the online community for feedback. In addition, the site includes a resource library that serves as a searchable repository of useful information, including articles, white papers, reference materials and links to Webinars.

ThoughtWorks’ established leadership in agile includes sharing its collective expertise with the at-large agile community through books, white papers, Webinars, seminars, blogs, industry presentations and online communities. ThoughtWorks also offers executive panel discussions, a professional Webinar series and the ThoughtWorks Studios community. The ThoughtWorks Studios Community site is devoted to allowing community members to exchange information, including the ability to share screenshots, videos, code samples and templates in posts. It also allows for the ThoughtWorks Studios’ team and product developers to gain a common understanding of the challenges and accomplishments of the community (http://community.thoughtworks.com/).
