Typemock Isolator for .NET New Release Ships

Typemock announced the availability of Isolator 7.4.1 for .NET, a new release of its automated unit testing solution.

Typemock, a provider and pioneer of automated unit testing solutions, announced the launch of a new version of its Isolator unit testing tool for .NET developers.

The new release, Isolator version 7.4.1 for .NET developers, includes integration with Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2012. This new capability means customers working with TFS 2012 can now start from the supplied build template or edit their existing template so that their Isolator tests run as part of an automated build. The TFS 2012 integration comes in addition to integration with all other major continuous integration (CI) tools.

"The advances we made in this release are aimed at giving developers a much better unit testing experience," Eli Lopian, founder and CEO of Typemock, said in a statement. "The addition of Microsoft TFS integration in the latest version of Isolator will further assist our growing base of enterprise customers to effectively deliver working and clean code. We are consistently adding features that are aimed at creating a seamless experience, as automated unit testing continues to be implemented by more and more companies."

Typemock announced that Plug-and-Play Profiling now integrates and runs simultaneously with any coverage tool, memory profiler and any other profiler. Moreover, setting Isolator to work together with other developer tools is now straight-forward, lowering the risk of configuration errors.

Additional new updates include the ability to mock the current date and time by ignoring the "DateTime.Today" property. There also are enhanced user-experience features, including running impacted tests from anywhere in the code, highlighting important test data, faster responsiveness when editing methods and tests, as well as improved shield display on partial classes and generic methods. The new release also features other modifications in API behaviors that allow for more readability in tests.

Typemock's automated unit testing solutions enable easy automated testing of all code written on .NET and C/C + + in both old, legacy code and new code, company officials said. The company's flagship unit testing solution, Typemock Isolator for .NET, features SmartRunner. SmartRunner is a tool for automatic duration-based test sorting, which means the quicker tests run first so programmers get the feedback they need quickly. The new version of Typemock Isolator also includes enhanced visual coverage capabilities.

Typemock was founded in 2005 to help developers and organizations become agile through easy automated unit testing. Since the launch of the first version of Typemock Isolator in 2006, thousands of companies around the world have adopted the company's automated unit testing solutions to ensure software agility and quality as well as to prevent code decay.
