Enterprise software startup Metricstream Inc. last week introduced its Enterprise Business Management suite, which manages business operations across distributed applications.

Web-based EBM will let executive and IT management monitor the performance and integrity of all business processes via customizable dashboards that provide real-time access to business process information. Officials of the Santa Clara, Calif., vendor said EBM addresses a number of back-office operations such as shipping, invoicing, procurement, manufacturing and distribution, as well as front- office processes such as customer interaction and sales force automation. The suite is aimed at Fortune 2000 firms with elaborate IT infrastructures and sophisticated e-businesses, officials said.

EBM requires Oracle8i and is available now for Solaris, Windows NT and Windows 2000 platforms. Pricing begins at $100,000 per installation, allowing concurrent access to 100 metrics.
