Emagia Corporation, which publishes a suite of cash flow management solutions, has made a toolkit and a series of webcasts available to help companies with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Emagias SOX Readiness Toolkit, which is free of charge to users, contains tools for organizations interested in an assessment of their internal controls for receivables and payables. The toolkit is designed to identify gaps in documentation and policies, and devise corrective action plans to address any deficiencies.

The contents of this toolkit include an assessment tool for evaluation of SOX readiness in the areas of credit, collections, cash application, receivables, payables, and cash forecasting, plus sample narratives, flowcharts and process diagrams to help companies attain SOX readiness for receivables and payables. The toolkit also contains checklists geared to establishing and assessing internal controls around receivables and payables.

The company is also producing free webcasts that address how software and services can help with SOX compliance. The Emagia “SOX Best Practices Webcast Series” highlights major topics regarding SOX compliance in cash flow management. Emagias SOX Best Practices Webcast Series is designed to provide guidance to credit and collections teams, accounts payable teams, controllers, treasurers, VPs of finance and CFOs on key SOX compliance issues related to cash flow processes.

The first webcast in the series, “Best Practices in Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance for Receivables Management,” took place on March 1, 2005. In April, there will be two webcasts: “Sarbanes-Oxley and Short-Term Cash Forecasting” and “From Compliance to Cash Flow: Emagia Customer Success Studies.”

The topic of a May webcast is “Turning Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance into an Opportunity for Corporate Process Improvement,” while in June the topic will be “Key Considerations for Sarbanes-Oxley in a Shared Services Environment.” Those who register for the series will be able to access past webcasts as well.

Emagia solutions are designed to improve a companys working capital and decrease costs by streamlining the processes that influence cash flows. “Todays corporations are facing the challenges of achieving compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements as well as improving financial performance,” said Veena Gundavelli, chief executive officer of Emagia. “Emagia is committed to helping companies optimize performance of cash flow processes while enhancing readiness for SOX compliance.”
