Reaching out to small-to-medium-size businesses with offices around the globe, a startup networking service provider, Gemplex Inc., is launching a suite of IP VPN services this month.

Going after enterprises that it considers neglected by the large incumbent carriers, Gemplex is touting virtual private network services with the performance and reliability of frame relay services at the lower price points of IP services.

The Vienna, Va., company offers private IP VPNs and “flexible IP VPNs” that use a combination of IP Security and network-based Multiprotocol Label Switching technologies.

Pricing varies according to an enterprises size and locations.

For example, a business with six sites in Europe and one in Seoul, South Korea, with speeds from 128K bps to 512K bps, including data and voice, would be charged about $12,000 per month.
