Apparently the wine industry likes its marketing programs to be aged just like a fine Merlot. Benson Marketing Group, an Internet marketing agency based in Napa, Calif., wine country, is this month and next holding a seminar called “E-mail: The Killer Wine App.”
The seminar is designed to help local vintners learn how to “foster closer communications with consumers” through the magic of e-mail. “Many wineries are finding that e-mail is an effective communications tool, but dont blow up your printed newsletter just yet,” says Jeremy Benson, president of the marketing agency.
