Orlando, Fla.-The unified communications approach, by and large, is meant for large enterprises with deep pockets. Objectworld Communications sought to make it affordable on March 18 here when it launched a suite of Microsoft Windows-based UC applications that can work with existing IP PBXes.
Objectworld UC Server Standard Edition delivers UC applications that include unified messaging, fax server, integrated voice response and conference bridging, integrated with Microsoft Exchange 2007, Active Directory and Office Communications Server 2007.
“We can deliver the whole suite of applications for under $300 per user, including a SIP [Session Initiation Protocol-based] handset,” said Nick Matejuk, vice president of the privately held company.
