Compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other regulatory requirements remains high on enterprises to-do lists as Open Text Inc. announced Monday a new corporate governance product built on its Livelink knowledge management and collaboration platform.

The new product, which the company is referring to simply as the corporate governance platform, is driven largely by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which requires corporations to document and adhere to their financial processes and controls.

Open Text is launching a corporate governance platform for Livelink, giving companies a single system to manage business information and collaboration to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. The solution offers a Web-based regulatory compliance infrastructure that companies can use to track, report and manage the regulatory processes associated with corporate governance, according to Open Text officials in Waterloo, Ontario.

The solution integrates Livelinks collaboration tools, auditable workflows and process controls, document and records management, e-mail management, and certification and training delivery.

The solution supports the COSO Framework for auditors; document lifecycle management; records management; secure collaboration integrated with document management; and process automation in Livelink, including secure workspace for investigating whistle-blower complaints, audit training and assessment, and the ability to capture and manage various forms of electronic, audio and paper content.

Open Texts Livelink solution for corporate governance is available immediately.
