Popkin Software and business simulation software maker Lanner Group announced Monday a partnership that will pair Popkins System Architect software with Lanners Witness solution.
Popkin, of New York City, makes enterprise architecture tools that include modeling software, while Witness is simulation software.
The idea behind the partnership is to help federal agencies be agile so they can respond to changing market conditions caused by regulations, outsourcing and business continuity planning.
In this regard, the combined software will help organizations to accurately predict the effects of changes on the business, Popkin officials said.
Popkin and Lanner, of London, plan to provide a graphical interface that will make business process modeling more accessible to business users.
Through the partnership, users will have the ability to simulate design, verification and optimization of architected processes through model driven simulation.
“Modeling and simulation are natural partners. The more complex the model, the more benefit you get from simulation,” said Jan Popkin, CEO of Popkin Software, in a statement. “This solution gives you model-driven simulation. By altering certain model parameters you can accurately see the effect on the business through the simulation results.”
The product will be available in September.
