Enterprise organizations are being attacked by a barrage of information technology challenges. From security to storage to regulatory compliance to outsourcing strategies, todays enterprise IT departments are faced with more questions than answers when it comes to laying out a technology roadmap for their organizations.
And as technology innovation continues to propel forward at blinding speed, IT executives find themselves in the delicate position of justifying any computer-related expenditures, while making sure that their organization is correctly using the latest technological advancements.
Starting data-tracking and reporting initiatives, moving to offshore outsourcing, staying on the right migration path and supporting more demanding and larger mobile workforces are wreaking havoc on IT managers, who find themselves responsible for making all of this happen seamlessly and on a limited budget.
To address these issues, Ziff Davis Media eSeminars division is hosting its Enterprise Solutions Virtual Tradeshow on March 30 and 31, bringing together top experts in the technology industry for a live, two-day online event focused exclusively on the most pressing enterprise IT issues. This virtual event comes on the heels of Ziff Davis Media eSeminars Security Virtual Tradeshow, which took place last November and attracted nearly 4,500 registrants.
Through a series of keynote presentations and interactive panel discussions featuring computer industry executives, CIOs and leading industry analysts, along with consultants and solutions providers, the Enterprise Solutions Virtual Tradeshow event promises to outline the most pressing issues facing todays IT managers and then supply the action items needed to help them make educated decisions based on their organizations specific IT needs.
This two-day live event is set up much like an in-person tradeshow, granting registrants the ability not only to listen to the live keynote and panel presentations, but also to ask direct questions to the panelists. Attendees also will be able to visit virtual vendor tradeshow booths, where they can interact with vendor representatives in a real-time format and gain access to product and marketing information.
Each day will start off with a high-profile keynote presentation, which will be followed by three panel presentations. During the course of two days, IT experts will outline the biggest challenges enterprise-class organizations are dealing with regarding technology decisions.
Gordon Eubanks, former CEO and president of Symantec and current CEO and president of Oblix, will kick off the first day of the tradeshow with his keynote presentation, “A Case for Identity for Todays Businesses.”
Eubanks will discuss the current regulatory environment and what it means to enterprise IT departments. He also will outline how technology can drive a competitive edge for todays enterprises.
Following Eubanks address will be three editorial panel discussions: “Technology Strategies that Make Sense of Compliance Requirements,” “Security and Storage Solutions for Grid Computing Environments,” and “Linuxs Appearance in the Prime-Time Enterprise.”
During those discussions, top executives from solutions providers, analysts—representing leading research firms such as AMR, Jupiter Media and IDC—and industry experts will address how organizations can tackle these complicated IT issues. Each discussion will conclude with a live question-and-answer session.
The second day of the Enterprise Solutions Virtual Tradeshow will be on March 31 and will begin with a keynote presentation by Rock Regan, former CIO of the state of Connecticut. Regan plans to speak on “Accelerating the Enterprise” and to address issues such as why compliance is good for enterprise IT and how to lay out a successful IT blueprint.
Much like the first day of the event, following Regans address will be a series of panel presentations, including, “Equipping Your Mobile Workforce for a Seamless Customer Experience,” “Look Before You Leap into Offshore Outsourcing,” and “Oh No! Its Time for Another Major Systems Upgrade.”
Day-two panelists will include leading industry analysts from AMR, Forrester and The Yankee Group, as well as solutions providers, consultants and eWEEK editors.
