eWEEK last week kicked off its fifth annual Excellence Awards program, dedicated, as always, to pointing readers to the most innovative, relevant and cost-effective enterprise products and services announced in a given calendar year.
Products and services are nominated through the dedicated Web site excellenceawardsonline.com, which was developed and is maintained by eWEEK Labs. Last year, more than 600 products and services were entered into the program.
Once the deadline for nomination has passed, Excellence Awards judges will begin categorizing and evaluating the entries. To ensure that the entries are being assessed on both technical merit and real-world relevance, judging teams comprise analysts from eWEEK Labs and members of eWEEKs Corporate Partner reader advisory board.
There is a fee for entering products into the program, and eWEEK is proud to have been able to donate the proceeds after program expenses to organizations that use technology in working with underserved communities. The proceeds from the fifth annual Excellence Awards will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America—specifically, to technology programs at clubhouses in Lawrence, Mass., New York and San Francisco.
The winners of the fifth annual Excellence Awards program will be announced in a report slated to appear in the April 12 issue of eWEEK. The winners and finalists of past programs are listed at excellenceawardsonline.com.
