Neowin.net is reporting that Microsoft has turned on the code that will enable the “information rights management” in Office 2003 Beta 2. (Microsoft is expected to begin shipping the beta to testers next week.) The Neowin folks also include some interesting screen shots, including this one, which shows what will happen to users who do not have Microsofts rights management software when they try to read Outlook messages and documents that are covered by “restrictive permission” (Microsofts own terminology).
