Two of the leading crm developers, Nortel Networks Corp. and PeopleSoft Inc., this week will announce additions to their respective customer relationship management product suites that will offer more diverse capabilities to enterprises.

Nortel, of Brampton, Ontario, is adding an incentive management system that covers all of its customers employees, not just sales personnel, while PeopleSoft is adding voice recognition capabilities to VantiveSales, its sales force automation application, in an effort to spur adoption of the technology.

Nortel will deliver Incentive Systems Inc.s Incentive application as part of its Clarify eFront Office Sales Solution. Nortel will brand Incentive as Clarify Clear Commissions.

While other CRM solutions handle commissions for sales professionals, Clarify Clear Commissions will administer and maintain incentive plans and provide personalized compensation reporting for all employees in an organization who deal with customers, including sales, support and customer service representatives and even marketing departments and Webmasters, company officials said.

Meanwhile, PeopleSoft, of Pleasanton, Calif., through a partnership with startup voice recognition software developer JustTalk Inc., of Ann Arbor, Mich., will give salespeople voice access to contact management, task management, calendar management and call management applications by February.

Future versions will add access to other applications, such as opportunity and account management, officials said. Customers will be able to both access and input information using the technology, PeopleSoft and JustTalk officials said.

The voice recognition capabilities add another option for PeopleSoft users, who can already access applications by wireless Web connections.

Nortels Clarify Clear Commissions is available this week. Pricing is $750 per payee plus 18 percent of the license fee for service and support. Pricing for the PeopleSoft/JustTalk solution has not been determined but will be at a monthly rate, officials said.
