Greg Peters, former chairman and CEO of Vignette Corp., has joined pricing software developer Zilliant Inc. as president and CEO, Zilliant announced Monday.

Peters led content management software developer Vignette as president and CEO through its initial public offering in 1999, though the once high-flying companys revenues have slumped since.

He relinquished the CEOs office to former Siebel Systems Inc. executive Thomas Hogan last July, but remained chairman. Peters previously served as president and CEO of LogicWorks Inc. He has also held executive positions at Micrografx Inc. and DSC Communications Corp.

“I am very pleased to be joining Zilliant, particularly at a time when profit and revenue optimization is on the minds of business executives everywhere,” said Peters in a statement. “The growth prospects for the market and the company are enormous and I am looking forward to great things ahead for Zilliant.”

Both Vignette and Zilliant are based in Austin, Texas.
