Automation Centre Inc. is expanding its Tracker office and professional services automation offerings to include human resources tracking.

TrackerSuite for HR, which will be released this week, is designed to lower HR professionals workloads by providing a central data management system that enables employees to self-manage information.

Patrick Graupp, human resources administration manager at Sanyo North America Corp. in Otay Mesa, Calif., is using Automation Centres Personnel Tracker throughout the 1,500-person corporation. He is also testing the Purchasing Tracker module at Sanyos headquarters, which may be rolled out to Sanyo nationally throughout 2002.

Graupps department already has an HR software package installed at Sanyo but decided to purchase Automation Centres Personnel Tracker module for its directory and workflow capabilities, as well as its support for Lotus Notes.

“Lotus Notes is a pretty big investment, and we like to get the most out of it,” said Graupp.

Earlier in 2001, Automation Centre, of Tucson, Ariz., struck a deal with Microsoft Corp. to integrate Tracker software with the Microsoft Outlook messaging client. The Microsoft version, TrackerOffice for HR, is scheduled to be released by the end of 2002.

TrackerSuite for HR comprises five applications that run on Notes/Domino. The Personnel Tracker application is a Web-based repository of employee information that includes phone numbers, addresses and office locations, among other things. Applicant Tracker automates the interview and hiring process.

A third application, Skills Tracker, provides templates for creating and administering tests that quantify employee skill sets.

The Evaluation Tracker application enables HR staff to track employee performance by organizing and maintaining personnel reviews and evaluations, while Tracker Data Warehouse generates executive-level reports.

TrackerSuite for HR integrates with the TrackerSuite family of products.

Pricing depends on the number of modules a company purchases. One module, which includes Personnel Tracker, starts at $325 for 100 seats.
