The eWEEK Excellence Awards program is designed to point readers to the most compelling enterprise products announced in a given calendar year. All the products and services entered into this years program must have been announced in 2002 and shipped by the end of the first quarter of 2003.

  • The entries in each category were judged by teams comprising at least one eWEEK Labs analyst and at least one eWEEK Corporate Partner. The eWEEK Corporate Partner Advisory Board is composed of IT professionals who represent eWeek readers. The teams applied their combined technical and real-world expertise to the evaluation of the entries.
  • Products and services were entered into the program by vendor representatives. An entry fee of $100 per company allowed submission of any number of entries. After program expenses, the proceeds will be donated to at least three organizations that leverage technology to assist youth and underserved communities: Youth Tech Entrepreneurs (www.yte.org), iMentor (www.imentor.org) and PluggedIn (www.pluggedin.org). This years program was cosponsored by CDW Computer Centers Inc.
