eWEEK is getting ready to kick off its 7th annual Excellence Awards program. The program will be dedicated, as always, to pointing readers to the most innovative, relevant and cost-effective enterprise products and services announced in a given calendar year.

Products and services are nominated through the dedicated Web site excellenceawardsonline.com, which was developed and is maintained by eWEEK Labs.

Last year, hundreds of products and services were entered into the program. We will begin taking nominations on Dec. 4.

Once the deadline for nomination has passed, Excellence Awards judges will begin evaluating the entries. To ensure that the entries are being assessed on both technical merit and real-world relevance, judging teams comprise eWEEK editors and Labs analysts, as well as members of eWEEKs Corporate Partner reader advisory board.

There is a fee for entering products into the program, and eWEEK is proud to have been able to donate the proceeds after program expenses to organizations that use technology in working with underserved communities.

The winners of the 7th annual Excellence Awards program will be announced in a special report slated to appear in the first quarter of 2007 and at eWEEK.com.

The winners and finalists of past programs are listed at excellenceawardsonline.com.
