A Quick Look at the Feature-Rich Microsoft Lumia 735 Smartphone

Microsoft’s Lumia 735 is packed with features, including a 4.7-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, a 6.7-megapixel rear camera and more.

The Lumia 735 is well-equipped, with a 4.7-inch HD OLED display, a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage, expandable to an additional 128GB with an optional micro SD card. The display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for scratch and damage resistance.

The Lumia 735’s 6.7-megapixel, auto-focus rear-facing camera features precision-ground Zeiss optics for excellent photo quality. Also included is a 5MP full HD wide-angle front-facing “selfie” camera for pictures with your friends.

The dark-gray Lumia 735, which is 5.3 inches long, 2.69 inches wide and 0.35 inches thick, runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia Denim) operating system and will be upgradeable to Windows 10 when that operating system becomes available later this summer.

The Lumia 735 includes a 2,220mAh removable battery in addition to wireless charging capabilities via an optional wireless charging pad. The phone also includes Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity, as well as WiFi hotspot capabilities.

Customers who activate a new Lumia 735 by July 31 are eligible to receive one year of Office 365 Personal service on the device, while supplies last. Included are applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, which can also be installed on a customer’s PC or Mac computer, tablet and smartphone. Also included is 1TB of cloud storage on Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage platform.

The Lumia 735 also includes the Cortana Personal Digital Assistant, which is built into Windows Phone. Cortana can conveniently help users find information about appointments, schedules, Web searches and more through voice commands. Also included are social media apps including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp and FourSquare.

Replacement rear covers that include wireless charging capabilities can be purchased separately for $24.99 in orange, green, white, red or cyan and added to the Lumia 735 smartphone.
