Wireless chip maker Broadcom has accused rival Atheros of releasing an 802.11g chip that causes interference with other Wi-Fi networks when put into the fastest, incompatible Super G mode. The company will release its findings at Comdex. This could be a tempest in a teapot, though, because D-Link and NetGear recommend that Super G only be used at home, in a 100 percent vendor-specific environment.
