CBeyond and Research in Motion announced Dec. 13 that it has added support for the BlackBerry 8703e to its BeyondMobile service.
Atlanta-based CBeyonds BeyondMobile service provides SMB (small and midsize business) users with integrated packages of voice, mobile and broadband Internet services starting at $495 per month.
By adding the BlackBerry 8703e as a handset option, CBeyond said, it gives its BeyondMobile customers wireless access to applications such as e-mail, mobile phone service, Web browsing, instant messaging and text messaging.
“BlackBerry is the leading wireless platform for businesses of all sizes, allowing mobile professionals to stay connected, responsive and productive on the go,” Mark Guibert, vice president of corporate marketing for Research In Motion, based in Waterloo, Ontario, said in a company release.
The BlackBerry 8703e features a full QWERTY keyboard and call management options such as smart dialing, speed calling, call forwarding, dedicated send, end mute and convenience keys, a built-in speakerphone for hands-free use, and Bluetooth support that can be used with headsets and car kits.
The 8703e includes the BlackBerry Internet Service, which will allow business users to retrieve up to 10 corporate and personal e-mail accounts, including Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino accounts, from a single device.
“The 8703e delivers premium quality voice and data services and gives our small business customers access to the same handset devices offered to larger enterprises,” Brent Cobb, vice president of product management and general manager of mobile for CBeyond, said in the release.
