      The Pro Tablet 608 machines are aimed at business users, featuring quad-core Intel Atom Z8500 processors, up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board eMMc storage to keep up with the performance demands of businesses. Also included are enterprise-ready security and management tools to maintain high levels of security for companies, data and customers.

      The HP Pro Tablet 608 devices include an 8-inch diagonal QXGA HD screen featuring 2,048-by-1,536 resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio that is optimized for working with business productivity apps. The tablets also include enterprise-class audio and Webcam support for video conferencing.

      The HP Pro Tablet 608 has a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for enterprise-quality Web conferencing in almost any environment. The tablets also integrate an 8MP rear-facing camera as well as HP’s first USB-C all-in-one port in a tablet.

      The new tablet’s other Web conferencing capabilities include dual front-facing stereo speakers, dual microphones, DTS Studio Sound and noise-canceling software.

      The HP Pro Tablet 608 is less than 8.35mm thick and weighs under 1 pound. The enterprise-ready machines are expected to have up to 8 hours of battery life on a charge. The tablets are built to be rugged, with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display coverings and metal-reinforced chassis. Also included is dual-band WiFi and optional 3G or 4G connectivity.

      Enterprise users can fit their HP Pro Tablet 608 machines with a wide range of optional accessories, including a pen, rugged case, travel keyboards and a portable docking station (pictured).

      Built for Retail Use

      Another optional attachment, the HP Pro Tablet Mobile Retail Solution, wraps around the tablets and turns the devices into mobile devices that can be used by retailers to conduct and process sales that can then be tied directly into a company’s back-end system.

      9Works with Third-Party Payment Terminals

      Works with Third-Party Payment Terminals

      The special retail case add-on works with a wide range of third-party mobile payment terminals, including EMV, NFC, MSR and most digital wallets. The cases are expected to be available starting in October.
