In its new ZBook models—the ZBook Studio G3, ZBook 15, ZBook 15u and ZBook 17—HP provides updates in packaging, performance and capabilities for a wide variety of business users. The third-generation HP ZBook mobile workstation models are thinner and lighter than their predecessors.

3 - The HP ZBook Studio G3 Mobile Workstation

The all-new HP ZBook Studio G3 model comes standard with a 15.6-inch Full HD display, but can also be equipped with an optional 4K DreamColor display for higher graphics performance. The machine can be set up with a choice of Intel Core or Xeon quad-core processors and up to 32GB of ECC memory.

The ZBook Studio G3 offers buyers a choice of Nvidia Quadro M1000M 2GB GDDR5 or Intel HD graphics 530 capabilities. It also features dual 1TB HP Z Turbo Drive G2 storage systems and two Thunderbolt 3 connectors. All four of the new HP ZBook mobile workstations include enterprise security management capabilities and conform to MIL-STD 810G specifications to survive in tough workplace environments.

The ZBook Studio laptop starts at 4.4 pounds, is 0.71 inches thick and will start at $1,699 when it goes on sale in December. The ZBook Studio has undergone some 120,000 hours of reliability and performance testing during its development, according to HP.

The HP ZBook 15 comes standard with a 15.6-inch Full HD display (it too can be equipped with an optional HP DreamColor 4K display), an Intel Core or Xeon processor, up to 64GB of ECC memory and up to 3TB of HP Z Turbo Drive G2 storage.

The ZBook 15 also includes dual Thunderbolt 3 connectors, an HDMI port and USB ports. Plus, it is 27 percent thinner and 7 percent lighter than the model it replaces, with 27 percent longer battery life, according to HP. Pricing has not yet been announced for the machine, which will be available in January.

The HP ZBook 15u boasts a 15.6-inch Full HD touch-screen display and can be configured with up to 32GB of memory. It also includes AMD FirePro professional graphics with a 2GB frame buffer.

The ZBook 15u can be equipped with up to 1.5TB of HP Z Turbo Drive G2 storage and will start at $1,099 when it goes on sale in January. Like the three other new third-generation HP ZBook mobile workstation models, the 15u is thinner and lighter than the model it succeeds.

The HP ZBook 17 comes standard with a 17.3-inch Full HD display or can be equipped with an optional HP DreamColor 4K display. The machine can also be configured with an Intel Core or Xeon processor and up to 64GB of ECC memory.

The new ZBook 17 features up to 4GB of HP Z Turbo Drive G2 storage, dual Thunderbolt 3 connectors and Nvidia graphics with up to a M5000M Quadro GPU. It also packs a 67 percent increase in battery life compared with its predecessor.
