      The Yoga 13 has a 13.3-inch display with 10-point multi-touch. It runs up to Windows 8 Pro and an Intel Core i7 processor, weighs 3.4 pounds and, at 0.67 inches, is thinner than the Apple MacBook Air.

      A special hinge enables the Yoga 13 to fold 360 degrees. The Ultrabook will arrive Oct. 26, but will be available for preorder Oct. 12 at Best Buy—starting at $1,099.

      The ARM-based Yoga 11 is just as flexible but runs Windows RT and up to a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It will arrive in December, starting at $799.

      Both Yoga convertibles, whether for convenient Web calls or watching a video, can strike a tent-style pose or squat the opposite way, with their backs bent and keyboards down.

      It’s a tablet! It’s a laptop! It’s, really, both. The tablet can be purchased separately, though when used with the base, it gets an extra eight hours of battery life, for a total of 16, plus a full-size USB port.

      The Lynx runs Windows 8 and an Intel Atom dual-core 1.8GHz processor. The tablet weighs 1.41 pounds alone and 2.86 pounds with the base. Together, they measure 0.74 inches; alone, the tablet is 0.37 inches thin.

      In December, the Lynx base will sell for $149 and the tablet will start at $599.

      8ThinkPad Twist: An Ultrabook That Runs Windows 8

      The Twist is a convertible Ultrabook that runs up to Windows 8 Pro and an Intel Core i7 processor. It weighs 3.48 pounds, is 0.79 inches thick and features two-second resume.

      Like the Yogas, the Twist can hang out in what Lenovo calls Stand mode—a good way to show off its 12.5-inch extra-bright high-definition In-Plane Switching (IPS) display and Dolby Home Theatre v.4 audio system.

      The Twist will go on sale Oct. 26 at a starting price of $849.
