Lenovo Reveals Laptops, Tablet, Video Streaming Device at China Event

The Cast, which looks like a black rubber hockey puck, can be plugged into a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) port of a TV and then linked wirelessly to a content source for playback. The Cast can transfer content up to 65 feet and will be available worldwide in August.

Powered by an Intel Atom quad-core processor, the ThinkPad Tablet 10 includes a 10-inch WUXGA 1,920-by-1,200 In-Plane Switching (IPS) touch display, Windows 10, enhanced enterprise security capabilities, a 5MP camera, 10 hours of battery life and 3G/4G LTE support.

Like its larger Z51 stablemate, the Z41 features an FHD display, processor options up to the Intel Core i7 CPU, RAM configurations up to 16GB of DDR3L memory, Windows 8.1, and standard or solid-state hard drives up to 1TB. The Z41 will launch in June starting at $499.

The Z51 laptop, like its smaller sibling, includes Dolby DS 1.0 home theater surround sound as well as built-in 802.11a/c WiFi capabilities. Priced starting at $599, the Z51 will be available in June in ebony black or chalk white. The Z41 is also available in crimson red.

For users who want more out of their Z51, they can opt for a built-in Intel RealSense 3D camera that features full 1080p color and a depth sensor. The 3D camera can sense and capture depth like the human eye, and it can scan objects in 3D to prepare them for 3D printing.

Both units, which will be available in June, offer dual and single controllers in 2U-12 and 24-drive configurations. The S2200 supports up to 96 drives, and the S3200 (pictured) supports up to 192 drives to easily support storage growth. Prices have not yet been announced.

With simpler processors up to the Intel BayTrail-M N3540 CPU, integrated Intel graphics RAM up to 8GB, standard hard drives up to 500GB or solid-state drives up to 128GB, the Ideapad 100 laptop comes with a 14-inch or 15-inch HD display. It is aimed at basic computer users.
