LG G Stylo Smartphone Offers a Stylus, Big Display and More

Equipped with a bright 5.7-inch HD IPS touch-screen display that’s covered with super-strong Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the Stylo also features a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of memory and the Android 5.0 mobile operating system.

The Stylo includes a full range of Android and Google apps that give users a broad range of capabilities. The handset includes 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable with a micro SDHC card up to 32GB. The phone uses a removable 3,000mAh battery for power.

The LG G Stylo includes an 8-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus and a 5-megapixel front camera with special features to enhance selfies. A special “Knock Code” feature that lets users set up a personalized knock sequence so they can easily wake and unlock their phones.

The Stylo packs all of its many features into a phone that is 6.08 inches tall, 3.12 inches wide and 0.37 inches thick. The handset weighs 5.85 ounces.

The LG G Stylo can be purchased from Boost Mobile in metallic silver for $199.99 for customers who want a no-contract prepaid plan, while Sprint offers the phone starting June 7 at the same price without a contract. Sprint also offers the phone with a two-year contract for $288.

The most unique feature about LG’s latest G Stylo smartphone is its removable stylus that lets users write, draw and explore right on the device’s large HD display. Users can capture their work to send it to others or transform it into text or other content using software.

Here’s Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4, which costs more than twice as much as an LG Stylo but also includes a built-in stylus for creativity. The Note 4 has a 5.7-inch quad HD Super AMOLED display, 32GB of internal storage, a 16MP autofocus rear camera and a 3,220mAh Li-ion battery.
