The G5 has dual rear cameras—a 16-megapixel camera with a 78-degree field of view and an 8MP wide-angle camera with a 135-degree field of view—as well as an 8MP front-facing camera to help users capture great images in a wide variety of situations. The G5 also now gains the collage photo mode that is available on the LG V10 smartphone, which stitches the images together using multiple lenses. The new G5 comes in silver, Titan Black, gold or pink.

The LG CAM Plus is a manual camera module that can be attached through the battery slot to give users the ability to control more photo features through their G5 phones. The LG CAM Plus also doubles as a handy gripping surface and includes distinct shutter and video camera buttons, a jog dial for video zoom and an embedded battery with another 1,200mAh of power for extended use.

The LG 360 VR works exclusively with the G5 to simulate a 130-inch television picture viewed from about 6.5 feet away, according to LG. Unlike other smartphone-based VR viewers, it does not require that a smartphone be inserted into its headset.

With an Internet Protocol-equipped camera connected via WiFi, users can remotely monitor the interior of their homes with the LG G5 via live streaming.
