Madge Ltd., a maker of wireless LAN management and security tools, has announced plans to ship a $899 wireless security solution this month.

Designed for small businesses and remote offices, the WLAN Enterprise Access Server 100 is part of the companys family of EAS servers. According to the company, the EAS 100 is scalable and offers “identical functionality” to its larger enterprise solutions.

“We are seeing growing requirements for secure WLANs in new areas such as branch offices and the SMB market,” said Martin Malina, CEO of Madge, in a statement.

“They require enterprise class security and management features in a small form factor and at a new price point. The EAS 100 delivers all of these elements in one easy to install device,” he said.

The EAS 100 will support up to five access points and 100 users. It supports access points from multiple vendors, including Madge, Cisco Systems Inc., Proxim Corp., D-Link Corp. and 3Com Corp.
