7Water and Dust Protection in the Xperia M5
The Xperia M5 meets IP 65 and IP 68 standards for water and dust resistance, making the device safe to use around water and in tough environmental conditions. The phone is available in gold, black and white and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The M5 is 5.7 inches long, 2.83 inches wide and 0.29 inches thick, and weighs about 5.03 ounces for a dual-SIM model.
821.5MP Rear Camera for Detailed Photos
The new Xperia M5 has an even more powerful rear-facing camera than its stablemate, with a 21.5MP camera that also includes a 5X zoom, bringing the features of a quality point-and-shoot camera to a smartphone. A 13MP selfie cam, which features integrated auto-focus and full-HD video recording capabilities, is also included.
9Extended Battery Modes in Both Xperia C5 Ultra and M5
With Sony’s STAMINA battery modes, Xperia users can stretch the life of their device’s batteries to give them more use time. An extended standby mode increases the available standby time by up to four times by turning off apps and functions when the display is not being used. An extended usage mode extends limited available usage time by up to 14 percent. An Ultra STAMINA Mode limits the phones to core functions—like calls and messages—to extend battery life as much as possible.
