Plug and play Audio conferencing has become a key part of doing business. In May, Boston-based Sonexis Inc. will release a plug-and-play audio conferencing appliance called AudioCollaborator, designed to be an in-house alternative to popular audio conferencing services.
PSTN, IP models Sitting behind an enterprises firewall, AudioCollaborator plugs into existing PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) or IP/LAN telephony systems as well as IP or traditional PBX systems. General-purpose microprocessors within AudioCollaborator handle call and media processing. There are PSTN models of AudioCollaborator for 24-, 48- and 96-port capacity, and IP models are available with 30- to 120-port connections. The appliance also supports Web-based administration, Web and Interactive Voice Response controls, and multiple levels of security.
