T-Mobile is giving away 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphones and a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet to customers who sign up quickly for a JUMP! On Demand mobile plan and trade in a working eligible smartphone.
The special offers, however, are only good this weekend through Oct. 25 for qualified customers, and require the trade-in of a functional iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Note5, Samsung Note 4 or Samsung Note Edge smartphone, according to T-Mobile.
Customers can get their new Galaxy S6 with no money down and no lease payments, according to the offer.
Customers who don’t trade in an eligible phone must pay $24 a month for the Galaxy S6. Customers who trade in an iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s,Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One M8, HTC One M9, LG G3 or LG G4 smartphone must pay $15 a month for the new Galaxy S6 under the promotion.
A free Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet is being given away with every eligible Samsung phone that is picked up by a customer as part of the deal as long as they also purchase a data plan for the 4G LTE tablet.
If a customer cancels the new wireless service early for the phone, they will lose the promotional pricing and will owe the remaining payments on the devices or must return the devices, according to T-Mobile.
The Galaxy S6 smartphone includes a chassis made of aircraft-grade aluminum, a 5.1-inch, quad HD Super AMOLED display, a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display cover, a 64-bit eight-core Exynos 7 processor, a 16-megapixel rear camera with Smart Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 1.9 f lens, a 5MP front camera, a 2,550mAh nonremovable battery and the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
The phones also include wireless charging capabilities and a fast charging mode that allows users to charge the battery to 50 percent in just 20 minute using a corded charger. The wireless charging system works with WPC or PMA wireless charging systems and can provide a 50 percent device charge in about 30 minutes.
Earlier in October, T-Mobile reintroduced its 10Gigs4All family mobile phone plans that offer 10GB of high-speed data per month per person for a limited time, according to an earlier eWEEK report.
Under the deal, a family of four pays $50 each for the first two mobile lines, plus $20 for the third line. The fourth line, which also gets 10GB of high-speed data, is then provided for free. That adds up to $120 a month for four lines under the plan, with each line essentially costing $30 per month under the special promotion. The revived plan, which is only being offered for a limited time, also includes unlimited talk and texts for each user. The 10Gigs4All plan was originally offered earlier this summer and was the company’s most popular promotion of all time based on the percentage of postpaid customers signing up, according to T-Mobile.
Like other T-Mobile plans, the new plan does not have a contract or overage charges for domestic data use, the company said. T-Mobile’s data stash, which lets customers roll over their unused data to use later for up to one year, is also included, as well as free music streaming and WiFi calling.
