The smartphone boasts an 8-megapixel rear camera (with LED flash), paired with a 2-megapixel front aperture.

In keeping with a general trend in smartphones toward voice activation, the Galaxy S II can be operated through a voice command.

The rear of the device is textured to prevent it from sliding around on slicker surfaces.

The Samsung Galaxy S II’s body is 8.49 mm thick.

The smartphone also includes productivity applications such as Quickoffice.

As one might expect, the device features integrated GPS.

The Samsung Galaxy S II features 16GB of on-board memory, expandable via microSD to 32GB. That can hold a lot of e-books.

Samsung is offering a variety of content hubs along with the smartphone: Social Hub, Readers Hub, Music Hub and Game Hub.
