Messaging application service and hosting provider Interliant Inc. this month launched its new managed firewall service, designed to help customers guard against infiltration.

The service, based on technology from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., of Redwood City, Calif., offers policy management and quarterly performance audits.

Advanced options from Interliant, based in Purchase, N.Y., include redundant firewalls and customized security policies, officials said.

The Init Managed Firewall Service is available immediately in standard and enterprise versions. Standard pricing is $600 per month with a $500 implementation fee; enterprise pricing ranges from $2,000 to $10,000 per month, with a $7,500 implementation fee.
