      2Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – Remote Greeting

      When participants enter the Briefing Center, they will be greeted via televideo. The receptionist will actually be located on the other side of the wall.

      3Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – Room 418M

      The largest conference room is designed to hold 18 people for teleconferences or in-house meetings. All in-room participants will be furnished with power plus both cabled and wireless Internet access.

      The room is equipped with four large high-definition screens, each of which is capable of hosting as many as 16 distinct remote endpoints.

      Or the screens can be joined together to form one large, high-quality image.

      6Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – Cameras

      The room is served by four cameras mounted amidst the screens.

      7Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – Microphones

      Several dome microphones are mounted from the ceiling, able to capture sound from every corner of the room.

      8Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – Monitors

      Displays for use during presentations are hidden away within the tables, spaced to accommodate every other user.

      9Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – AV Equipment

      Each telepresence-enabled conference room is supported by its own bank of equipment (Polycom’s RPX HD gear).

      10Polycoms New Telepresence Executive Briefing Center – VNOC Services

      Polycom will help set up and monitor the teleconference through its VNOC services, which will monitor the experience via an out-of-band camera (unless you tell them not to). Shown here is the in-room interface to some of the conference controls.

      Some of the briefing rooms are appointed to be a bit more casual and comfortable. There will also be plenty of lounge space in the facility.

      First-time visitors to the center will be taken through a series of demonstrations of Polycom’s high-definition voice and video capabilities, then taken to this room, which houses many of the legacy products Polycom has released over the years.
