Answers.com, known for providing its users with free access to information on a wide range of topics, is about to go even more in-depth.

The Web site announced Nov.20 that it will team up with Yahoo! Answers to offer even more comprehensive coverage.Answers.com, a website known for providing users with free access to comprehensive coverage.

Answers Corporation, developer of Answers.com, announced in a statement made on Nov. 20 that they have launched question and answers content from Yahoo! Answers on to their website.

“The partnership will connect people to the information theyre seeking with those who know it,” Tomi Poutanen, director of product management for Yahoo Social Search, said in a release.

Yahoo! Answers, a Q&A site that lists more than 60 million global users, will provide Answers.com users with an additional source of user-generated questions and answers on an abundance of topics.

“While our existing content is incredibly rich, relevant and cross-disciplinary, answers drawn from a community Q&A site provide a flip side – the dynamic, interactive voice of the people,” Bob Rosenschein, CEO of Answers.com, said in a statement.

Answers.com offers its visitors free access to wide-ranging information on nearly four million topics, developed from encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauruses and other kinds of resources.

Now, with the click of a mouse, users can navigate directly to Yahoo Answers to ask any question as users of Answers.com will be able view pertinent questions and answers from Yahoo! Answers directly on Answers.coms own pages.

“Incorporating Yahoo! Answers is an additional step toward our goal of creating a dynamic educational experience and a single destination for people to find their answers,” Jeff Cutler, chief revenue officer of Answers.com, said.

The Yahoo supplement to Answers.coms reference library is available immediately.
