Distributor Avnet Technology Solutions has signed a global distribution agreement with Colubris Networks, a provider of intelligent wireless LANs for enterprises and service providers.

The agreement will initially be implemented in the United States and Canada. Colubris portfolio includes its Intelligent Mobility Solution with 802.11n-ready architecture that allows companies to migrate to the new wireless standard without forklift upgrades to their networks, the companies said in a statement.

Colubris partners will be supported by Avnets Technology & Market Solutions group, which is chartered with developing new high-growth opportunities for Avnets partners, the companies said.

“This agreement with Avnet allows us to effectively expand our reach into targeted vertical markets,” said Rob Scott, president and CEO of Colubris Networks, in a statement.
