Looks like calls for Microsoft to add another beta to the Windows Vista timeline are falling on deaf ears. Microsoft has begun testing internally Vista Release Candidate (RC) 1 builds and will likely issue one more interim test build, designated RC1, to a group of selected testers before the actual RC1 ships, according to Neowin. Microsoft’s publicly released August Direct X 10 software development kit requires Vista RC1 to run, in fact. Testers are expecting a wide-scale public release of RC1 in late August or early September.
