Itronix this week will introduce its most powerful rugged laptop computer. The GoBook III is the companys first laptop to include Intels 1.8GHz Centrino chip set. The computer also includes up to 2,048MB of DRAM, an 80GB hard drive and a run-time of more than 5 hours, said Itronix officials.

As with all Itronixs ruggedized laptops, the GoBook III is built to withstand rain, snow, wind, dust, shock, vibration and, to some extent, fire. It has a die-cast magnesium casing; a 12.1-inch transmissive display; and a waterproof, glow-in-the-dark keyboard. Available next month, the GoBook III is $4,495.
