The Bizhub 360 includes a user box functionality with its PageScope Box Operator software, which allows users to store up to 3,000 documents and enables users to manage individual boxes, create public and private user boxes, assign passwords, and limit the number of files stored.

“The Bizhub 360 will allow every office to operate more efficiently and cost-effectively,” Kevin Kern, vice president of product planning development for Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., based in Ramsey, N.J., told eWEEK.

The Bizhub 360 also features the Bizhub Operating Platform, which, according to Kern, “removes the need for separate functional boards through the utilization of the common system software that drives all MFP functions—copy, print, scan and fax.”

The Bizhub 360 allows for monochrome copying of up to 36 ppm (pages per minute) and also includes black and white scanning of up to 70 opm (originals per minute). With the Bizhub 360s scanning capabilities, business professionals are able to scan important business information to various destinations including e-mail, HDD (hard disk drive), FTP or a PC.

“Businesses will benefit from the Bizhub 360 through its common user experience, increased manageability, superior print performance, improved scanning functionality and enhanced security,” Kern said.

The Bizhub 360 includes 256 levels of gray scale per pixel and 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) print/copy resolution and utilizes Konica Minoltas Simitri Polymerized Toner, which allows for an even distribution, quality halftone definition and improved solid fills, according to the company. It has a maximum paper capacity of 5,650 sheets and is able to manage up to a 110-pound index from bypass and copy, scan or duplex originals. The Bizhub 360 also gives business users the choice of a versatile modular finisher or advanced booklet finisher.

The Bizhub 360 also features an optional 33.6K-bps analog Fax Kit, which includes 32MB of memory, data compression functionality, up to 600 by 600 fax TX resolution, and mixed original faxing and PC faxing, and allows transmissions in black and white of up to 11 inches by 17 inches.

The Bizhub 360 is available at a price of $9,200.00 through Konica Minoltas North American direct sales, authorized dealer and VAR channels.
