Lenovo ThinkPad Notebooks Slim Down, Get Touch Capability

The ThinkPad T Series is the mainstay of Lenovo’s business portfolio and offers the latest-generation WiFi and optional 4G WWAN technology.

A Full-HD touch-enabled display is available with the ThinkPad T440s, and the notebooks are designed to provide maximum road warrior efficiency with exceptional battery life capability.

Sharing many of the same features, the two models offer up to one terabyte of local storage or high-speed solid-state drives (SSD).

The ThinkPad T440 can also include an optional integrated smart card reader for enhanced security. The T440 includes an HD+ 14-inch screen with optional touch for an improved Windows 8 experience.

The X240 features a big buttonless trackpad and a latchless lid, along with a drop hinge that allows the screen to fold back 180 degrees.

Offered in touch and non-touch options, with resolution as high as 1,920 by 1,080, the X240 will be priced from $1,099 and available in October.

Featuring Full-HD anti-glare touch displays and discrete graphics, the S440 is designed for business users on the go.

The S Series sports the latest fourth-generation Intel Core processors, and the OneLink connector allows for a single cable connection to the OneLink Dock for superfast USB 3.0.

This 15-inch S-series model offers Lenovo’s Rapid Charge feature that the company claims gets the battery from 0 percent to 80 percent in 45 minutes.

Available in Germany and other European countries later this month, the S series notebook boasts an ultra-thin bezel to accommodate a larger screen in a smaller form factor.
