The second display slides out from the right side of the lid, making the ThinkPad W701ds a portable display powerhouse.

5Digitizer
The large panel on the right is a built-in Wacom digitizer tablet. Just above the tablet you see the display color calibration device. The stylus fits in a slot near the front edge. You can also see the small touchpad and oddly shaped troughs leading to the mouse buttons.
