Lexmark International announced on Oct. 23 the launching of two new printer series: the C530 color laser print series and the E series.

The C series targets small-scale businesses, while the E series focuses on larger enterprises.

The C530 series features print speeds of up to 22 ppm (pages per minute) in color and up to 24 ppm in monochrome. Lexmark is touting improved operator panels in this product by way of a USB port that can print PDF and image files directly from a USB flash drive.

Additionally, this product series features a 10-digit numeric pad for confidential printing and easy network set up.

“Lexmarks entire color laser line-up has been praised by technology reviewers for its print quality, ease of use and excellent performance for business applications,” said Paul Rooke, Lexmark executive vice president and president of its printing solutions and services division.

“The Lexmark C530 series raises the bar even higher with fast, professional color that customers can count on for their critical business documents.”

Other products in the C530 series are made for larger workgroups and enterprise customers, where there are higher supplies yielded such as the new extra-high yield 7,000 page color toner cartridge.

The Lexmark C530 series is available now with prices ranging from $499 to $1299 Lexmark.

In a separate statement, Lexmark announced the launching of its E series product line for large businesses.

The E series uses what Lexmark calls an “industry-first printhead technology” featuring a small, pivoting mirror that helps reduce moving parts and attempts to increase the level of reliability.

Lexmarks E series uses an instant warm-up fuser technology which checks to see that the printer is always ready when users need to print and helps to decrease the time to print to 6.5 seconds.

“The Lexmark E series demonstrates Lexmarks commitment to developing innovative technologies that deliver both market-leading performance and environmental benefits to our customers,” said Rooke in the same statement.

The E series uses more than 40 new patents and patent applications centered on making its products faster and energy-efficient.

Available now, the Lexmark E series can print at speeds ranging from 30 ppm to 35 ppm, from prices ranging from $199 to $599.
