Low-Price HP PC Caters to Small Biz

Hewlett-Packard last week rolled out a desktop PC aimed at small and midsize businesses and the public sector.

The HP Business Desktop d325, available now, has a starting price of $499. For $669, users can get a PC powered by a 1.8GHz Athlon XP 2200+ chip from Advanced Micro Devices with a 40GB hard drive, 256MB of DDR (double-data-rate) memory and six USB 2.0 ports. Users can ramp up performance with a 2.17GHz Athlon XP 3000+ chip, 160GB hard drives and up to 2GB of DDR memory.

The desktop has integrated GeForce4 MX graphics from Nvidia and built-in dual-monitor capabilities.
