Plustek has announced a new scanner aimed at the small office/home office market.

The SmartOffice PS281 is a collapsible, integrated ADF (automatic document feeder) sheet-fed scanner. Key features include 600-dot-per-inch resolution, a scanning speed of 15 pages per minute, and full-color scanning. It can scan documents from legal to business-card size.

The PS281 has an integrated, flip-out 50-sheet ADF and a searchable PDF feature, which lets users easily archive documents. It’s also compact and fairly lightweight at 10.3 by 5 by 8.8 inches and 3.7 lbs

The SmartOffice PS281’s estimated street price is $299, $50 less than the PS282, a similar scanner that Plustek announced in August.
