Print solutions specialist Xerox will unveil at Graph Expo 2010 more than a dozen printing tools designed to save organizations money and time, including the Nuvera Flex Speed Program, which temporarily increases engine speed as production needs dictate, and VIPP Pro Publisher, which allows users to select the clear dry ink option available on the Xerox Color 800/1000 presses in one step within Adobe InDesign.

All offerings will be on display in the Xerox booth at Graph Expo 2010 Oct. 3-6 in Chicago, according to a company release.
The company will also be announcing two color management services to help print providers become more productive and consistent with Xerox digital color devices. With Color Consulting Services, Xerox consultants help implement color control systems and set up workflows that match color across multiple printing processes. Advanced Color Management training for the Xerox iGen3, iGen4 and Color 800/1000 presses includes color fundamentals such as designing for digital printing techniques, printing from Adobe applications and using clear dry ink.
Print provider Eichhorn was the first company in Germany to purchase the Xerox Color 1000 Press. The company uses the press to produce high-quality advertising and marketing collateral for its automotive and finance industry customers. “The Color 1000 Press increases the value of every page sold,” said Jorg Eichhorn, managing director for Eichhorn. “The quality of the first 100,000 pages printed after the purchase was proof that we had made the right decision.”
In addition, FreeFlow Express to Print now supports the full line of Xerox production printers, providing a tool for job ticketing and previewing jobs prior to printing. FreeFlow Variable Information Suite has added support for office print devices, ideal for printers requiring decentralized variable-data printing; and FreeFlow Web Services offers a new, user-friendly installation to design Web storefronts and an updated user interface for easier navigation.
The company’s Print Providers Guide to Social Media solution outlines how to take advantage of social media opportunities. The guide includes a list of popular social media outlets and tips on how to write materials for this medium. Two new technical workshops discuss how to conduct direct-mail campaigns, while the Operational Considerations workshop explains what is needed to implement a direct-mail strategy and execute a direct-mail campaign. The How to Implement Direct Mail workshop details how a direct-mail workflow can be implemented with a step-by-step approach for IT, programming and operations personnel.
The In-plant Profit Accelerator Kit provides Lean Six Sigma techniques, along with tools, templates and applications to help in-plants be a strategic asset to the parent organization, and the G7 Master Printer Qualification workshop guides customers through the G7 Master Printer qualification process, a method for printing consistent color.
