Here are the emerging technology stories for the week of June 4th.

Nokia’s Low-Power Link to Be New Bluetooth Standard – The Bluetooth SIG has agreed to use Nokia’s Wibree technology for short range ultra-low-power connections, for example connecting to something like a heart monitor.

Super Small RFID Tags – RFID tags the size of a pepper flake. How comes this doesn’t make me feel all warm and fuzzy. Can you imagine every store, event and business you go into dusting you with tags so they can recognize return customers or people who’ve shopped at partner stores?
