Google and IBM are expected to announce a partnership today that will allow corporate users to access Google gadgets from IBM’s WebSphere Portal software.

Google gadgets are mini-applications that work inside a Web page of with the Google homepage or Google Desktop.

The partnership will allow Websphere users to customize existing gadgets — or, ostensibly, create their own — to work with data from their secure network.
