PassMark Security seeks to foil Internet “phishing scams by using something as simple as a photo of a butterfly or the Eiffel Tower to let users know a Web site is authentic. The companys product is a “PassMark, a personalized icon that appears whenever a customer logs on to a site using the system. It lets a user know the site is authentic before a password is entered. The company is targeting banks, ISPs and e-commerce sites for its first sales.
